Robert Brown, M.S., Adult Education

Poet, Emory University

Robert Brown is a poet, consultant, clothier. He has read his poems at the
Folgier Library, Library of Congress and Lucky Strike in New York City. In
his work he leans toward the narrative. He attended the School for Visual
Arts, the Ohio State University (Masters: Adult Education) and the State
University College at Buffalo (BS: Secondary English Education). He has
worked as a political organizer, driven a cab in New York City, run the
family business (the Brown Paper Company Inc.), sold balloons and dozens of
other jobs that have worked their way into his poetry.

As a consultant he has facilitated groups as large as 5,000 people, worked in Switzerland and Russia, worked as an organization development consultant with corporations and non-profits, was the dean of the Atlanta campus of the School for Managing and Leading Change. His previous publications include "The Older Brother" and "Anna in Memphis" in Bleed, Columbus, Ohio Fall/Winter 1999. "Bringing Vita Home" was published in the Squaw Valley Community of Writers Journal, 2003.

Brown is most proud of his role as father of his daughter, Vita Leo Brown
and husband to Anna Leo.
