Michelle Hiskey grew up in the limelight of professional golf, shadowed by her family's history of mental illness. As a reporter for 22 years at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Michelle was part of a Pulitzer Prize finalist reporting team and was nominated three times for the Pulitzer feature award. Her assignments included four Olympics, seven Masters, the Super Bowl, World Series and the Democratic National Convention. She won the Best of Cox Feature Writing Award and numerous state and national awards.

Her work has appeared in the Nieman Narrative Digest, and she was a Nieman Fellowship finalist. Michelle has appeared as a guest lecturer in writing at the Poynter Institute, National Press Club, Cox Academy and college journalism classes.

She is a magna cum laude graduate of Duke University with a degree in English with an emphasis in creative writing. She attended Duke on a Scripps Howard Foundation grant and a golf scholarship.
