Beth Easterling, M.S.

Sociology, University of Tennessee

Beth Easterling is a mom, military wife, and PhD student in sociology at the University of Tennessee.  She holds a Master of Science degree in Applied Sociology from 
University of North Florida and and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics 
(with a minor in Sociology) from Roanoke College.  She is currently employed by 
Coastal Carolina Community College as a part-time sociology instructor.  Her 
areas of research interest are family sociology, criminology, and military 
sociology.  She is currently concentrating in criminology but completed her 
Master's thesis on the impact of employment for military spouses.  She hopes to 
use her academic experiences to help improve the lives of military families.
